Catching up

I was about to post pictures from Reese's birthday party, and realized that I haven't posted anything since January. Oops! We have had a nice, mild spring and have tried to get outside as much as possible. We took Reese and her friend, Ellie, to the park for some kite flying.

Shortly after this picture, Reese let go of the kite and Ed had to chase it across the park.

Even Bailey was in on the action. She loves to play catch and is still lightning fast.

Bike ride!

January Snow

Recently, it seems to be snowing in the city than the mountains! A couple of weeks ago, Ed and I took Reese to Breckenridge for a ski trip. The snow was not tons of snow, but lots of good times! Several other families joined us at the beautiful "Great West Life" home near Peak 8. We had such a good time, and Reese LOVED ski school. (Sorry for some of the grainy iphone pictures).

Ski pass on, and ready to go!

Heading up the magic carpet with Colby.

First time down. By the second day, she was able to go down herself (with some steering help)!

Out cold after the first day. She passed out in a chair, and Ed and I were able to get her J's on without her even waking up.

3 year old pajama party with Ellie, Reese, and Gretchen

Watching Bambi in their "tent".

Beautiful Breckenridge morning sky

Reese and I traveled to Dallas to visit Grandma for her birthday. We made a pit stop in McKinney to visit Penney and her beautiful girls, Sofia (4) and Vivian (9 months). Reese loved hearing about when Penney and I played together when we were young.

Fast friends!!

Holidays 2011

Happy holidays!!! The Myers family closed 2011 with lots of fun, new experiences for Reese (and us as well). This was the first year that she understood Christmas a little. Well, I think she understood Santa and presents, and that's about it. She thinks the menorah is a funny birthday cake and always wants to blow out the candles.

Girls night at the Nutcracker

We went to Zoolights for the first time this year. Reese was a little disappointed that many of the animals were not out. It was a chilly night, but the lights were beautiful and there was just the perfect amount of snow falling to make it feel Christmas-y.

Waiting patiently to sit on Santa's lap on Christmas Eve.

Reese asked Santa for a doll house and a snow globe.

Ed putting the doll house together on Christmas Eve night.

Reese loves her new dollhouse!!

Tearing into presents.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!!!

Snow!!

We had some good snow and very cold air visit Denver last week (or was it the week before that? I can't remember, this month is such a blur). Reese loves playing in the snow, but mostly likes to eat it and throw it in the air. Then she gets cold and wants to go inside. So, the amount of time it takes to get all her snow gear on is the amount of time she lasts playing in the snow. Oh well, it's fun anyway!!

Licking snow off her glove

"It's snowing!!"

My snow angel

I think this was a belly flop

...and not so happy afterwards.

Reese is really excited for Santa to visit this year. This is the first year that she is aware of it. It will be fun to start new holiday traditions!!!

Trick or Treat!!

We had so much fun this year! Reese insisted on being a purple princess in a dress that "twer-els". Ed, Reese and I joined 3 other families for Halloween fun!

First of many.

The whole crew.

Smile and say "sugar"!

Me: "Reese, what is the name of this candy?" Reese: Eyes wide, "It's me!!"

Happy Halloween!!

Late summer/ early fall

The weather is finally cooling (after a "hot" Colorado summer). Can you believe that Reese is big enough for a big girl bike?!? Her knees were hitting the handlebars on her tricycle. She LOVES her bike and wants to ride it every day when she gets home from school.

Ed took Wednesday off, so we took Reese to Anderson Farms. She loved going to the farm last year, and it was a beautiful sunny day this year. They have a 30 acre pumpkin patch and a 30 acre corn maze. Here is Reese trying out the kid maze.

Feeding the (very hungry) goats

Hate all that hair in her face, but love that smile.

On our way to the pumpkin patch via tractor.

Feeding Sam, the cow.

So many to pick from!

Needing some direction...

We finally picked out a Daddy, Mommy, and baby pumpkin, which are on our porch now. Reese wants to paint them before Halloween. More picture soon!

Dancin' up a storm!
