20 months

Reese's first toddler-ism: she insisted on wearing her bee costume when we got home from school yesterday. She's feeding herself really well now!

I think this is the cutest picture ever.

Snuggle time with Daddy.

Reese has a trike with a steering handle. She loves to be pushed around the neighborhood.

Our failed attempt for a family picture this year. Reese was not interested in staying still.

Happy Holidays!

Recent pics

Reese is now 19 months, and still the busiest child I've ever seen. We had some snow last weekend. She loves to eat it!

Too bad it takes a half an hour to get her dressed, to play outside for 10 minutes!

She loves her doggie.

See my goldfish!

Pretty girl!

Snowstorm!

This one was a whopper! I took some beautiful pics of a sunrise from our backyard a couple of days before the storm.

Reese's first taste of snow. Literally. All she wanted to do was eat it. She was not happy about walking into the deep stuff...

When I got home from work today, 2 feet of snow later...

The "young" tree between the evergreens is Ben's memorial tree (a red oak) that we just had planted in the park behind our house.

Busy Bee!

We went to a birthday/Halloween party last night. Reese had so much fun in the bouncy castle and playing with all the "new" toys.

Learning to feed yourself can be very messy!

Just playin'

Reese's favorite toy that Grandma got her. She still needs some help with the buttons!

Me and My Buddy

Bailey has been very patient with Reese's affection lately.

I think if we let Bailey sleep in Reese's crib, she would.

Heather's first 14er!

Ed picked up a new hobby this summer - climbing the 14ers (mountains with summit elevations over 14k feet). He has summited eight of the 54 located here in Colorado. We took a day off this week and climbed Mount Democrat near Alma, south of Breckenridge. I was way too tired to brag until today, so here are the pics! It started out pretty easy...

Here's a marmot hiding out in an abandoned miners shelter. They look like a beaver without the flat tail. Pretty cute.

Getting hard...Legs don't fail me now!

Facebooking at 14,000 ft.

Not a soul around. The timer on the camera finally came in handy!

On the way down...

It took us 3 hours to get up and an hour and 20 minutes on the way down. Amazingly, it wasn't as hard as I had expected, but this one was was short - only 4 miles...

Hello September!

Reese is really cracking us up. She loves to imitate us, whether it be putting on shoes or combing her hair. She has just discovered the art of climbing. We've had to hide the bar stools! She insists on sitting in a big girl chair at the table, which I'm sure she learned at day care. She only goes once a week, but we've seen a lot of development in a short time!

She loves bath time.

Aunt Casey took her to the zoo. Apparently she was fearless with these ducks!

We've been going to a indoor play area called Monkey Business. She loves the slides and small bouncy house.

Perfect pair.

Her new favorite game...

End of summer

Unfortunately, this is the face that we have seen in recent days. Reese has been having temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way.

Grandma visited for a couple of days before her big move to Seattle.

I took Reese to Gymboree for the first time. She had a blast and was able to keep up with the older kids.

Exploding language and hair!!

Reese is growing so quickly! At her 15 month appointment, she is now in the 95%ile for height, but down to 50%ile for weight. We know why - she never stops! She can now point to her eyes, nose, teeth, and hair.

She loves to splash in her kiddy pool. It was a little too cool today to get in.

Stretch!

She refuses to let us put rubber bands or clips in her hair. If she can feel it, it's coming out. Since I don't want to deal with bangs, we're dealing with the hair in eyes. It doesn't seem to bother her!

Here is Reese and Bailey playing. Ed and I need to invest in a good pair of ear plugs.

15 months

Our little girl is busy as ever! She is trying to learn to run, but doesn't have enough coordination and runs into things. Quite amusing! She also loves this stool that I pulled out. She always wants to be sitting in it.
